Long story short: I graduate in June & I need more things for my portfolio. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude and better work ethic when I come home from working 9-10 hrs. Meaning, I need to kick myself in the ass and draw more! Make more mock websites! Hell, offer free commissioned work to all of my friends?
But it's hard living near Milwaukee where the graphic design positions are very limited and when they're open you'll only be doing static, professional designs for large corporations you've never heard of. Brad, my boyfriend, graduates next December and I think he should be able to get a job in no time with his Global Business degree and his weird talent to get caught up in a conversation to any stranger he runs into. We both have stated we'd like to move to Seattle, so that's where I might be! ...If we both have the balls enough to leave our comfortable life in the Wisconsin 'burbs and take on big city life.
I would NOT move to Chicago. I loved it when I lived there before, but I was young(er) and curious. Now, I don't get that same vibe from that city, but I suppose I haven't been there enough to make a good judgment. Plus, Chicago is way too expensive.
Anyway, I have a few examples right now, but it's not enough and doesn't show how dynamic & versatile my skills are. Haha, even if they aren't, I'm going to make them!
